Vaughn Spethmann

Vaughn Spethmann, co-founder Zambikes, graduated with honors from Azusa Pacific University and received a Bachelors of Science degree in International Business. Vaughn co-founded www.ZAMBIKES.com, a bicycle company in Zambia that has sold over 12,000 steel bicycles, over 2,000 cargo and ambulance trailers and exported over 2,00 bamboo bike frames. Zambikes has been featured in CNN, BBC, FOX News and Fast Company.

Vaughn has been a featured entrepreneur at Social Capital Networks and spoke at a number of Universities including Notre Dame. Vaughn co-founded Green Energy Africa, which took biomass and made coal substitutes. Vaughn has also done work in agriculture and food processing.

After living in Zambia for eight years, Vaughn was recently married and moved back to San Diego. He does consulting for companies who need to find manufacturers and import products. Vaughn is also working with www.WheelsOfHopeLA.com Wheels of Hope trains and certifies low-income people in welding and then helps them to find work.
